Overview

The part-time (22 hours per week) Accounts Administration Clerk provides administrative support to the Public account held within the Finance & Budgets team in Base Support Squadron at MOD Boscombe Down. This role provides the required segregation of accounting functions to ensure a safe and compliant service in relation to the operation of the UNICOM accounts package and delivery of Cashiering services. The Accounts Administration Clerk will support OC Finance & Budgets in delivering an effective public accounts service to personnel at MOD Boscombe Down. Additionally, the post also fulfils the role of Station Vetting Clerk and JPA auditor.ResponsibilitiesJPA Auditor Checking claims against receipts for accuracy and allowable refunds making any deductions for errors and unacceptable purchases.

UNICOM bookings Raise the necessary vouchers on UNICOM to receive and pay out money from the Public Fund for the cashier to action.

Vetting Clerk – Raise and administer UKSV vetting applications.

Public Accts Clerk Provide general administrative duties to OC Finance & Budgets by ensuring T Letters, DINs and other policy instructions are printed and circulated as required as well as maintaining and updated the allocation and spends of the CO’s Public Fund and maintain the property book.
