Overview

The Basic Training Transformation Programme (BTTP) is a key component of the Armys efficiency programme and is delivered by the Army Recruiting and Initial Training Command (ARITC). This post will support a number of projects for the Initial Training Group (ITG) (a 1* Operating Group within ARITC).

The post is based at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright, although some travel within the UK will be required. This post is part of the Army Portfolio Office programme and project resource pool and applicants should therefore be aware that this post could be re-assigned to another Army TLB project on completion of the relevant projects within BTTP.Responsibilities Delivery of discrete projects as required in support of the C1 ITG Project Manager (PM)

Liaising with customers across ITG in order to undertake quantitative and qualitative data capture.

Produce of Project Requirements Documentation (URDs/SRDs/SoRs) as required (using standard MOD/Army TLB tools).

Providing regular updates to the PM and BTTP Programme Office on task progress

Undertaking options analyses and produce draft business cases detailing recommended courses of action and related rationale.

Monitoring task completion against project schedules.

In conjunction with BTTP Programme Office and PM:

Identifying deliverables, timings and dependencies in order to support the development of project schedules.

Identifying and report project risks, undertaking appropriate risk mitigation actions as required

Ensure that Requirements activities, their durations and timings are correctly captured in project planning.

Undertaking timely and effective communications with SMEs and project stakeholders. Liaising with SMEs within and outside ITG.

Ensure that Benefits are identified and managed.

Attend relevant meetings in line with project governance structures (e.g. Project Boards, related working groups).

Desirable:

APM Project Fundamentals within 6 months of taking up appointment (if no equivalent or better is held).
