Responsibilities The current responsibilities of the role include:Lead the commercial delivery of future strategic government-to-government level arrangements between the UK and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Work collaboratively with the Prime Contractor, BAE Systems, to deliver agreed programmes of work, to drive Industry Partner performance against contract KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements.Manage the strategic environment within which user needs are identified and prioritised by various service owners. This will include engagement cross Defence to the highest levels and across government with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Department for Business and Trade and Cabinet Office.As a member of the MODSAP Management Board (MMB), support Director MODSAP in discharging their responsibilities as a Budget Holder and ensure that there is robust governance, risk management and internal control arrangements across MODSAP.Lead and manage a team of commercial professionals and ensure their output contributes directly and aligns to the Departments priorities and objectives, including the management of public money and delivery of value for money.Make sure that all members of the commercial team are appropriately trained, qualified and experienced to make sound commercial judgements so that contracts are let and managed to deliver value for money.Maintain and enhance the MODSAP Commercial teams supportive and inclusive culture and ensure high staff engagement.Enhance supplier relationships across all service contracts in the supply chain, including contract management.
