Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected work within Mechanical Engineering Training Flight at MoD St Athan and will be responsible for the instruction of Military students in a range of theoretical and practical disciplines focused within the fields of Ground Support Equipment and Military Transport, however plant or vehicle experience is transferrable. Regular duties will include but are not limited to: The preparation and delivery of course materials and examinations in accordance with Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).ResponsibilitiesEssential:

Candidates should have served an apprenticeship or a relevant period of training and have obtained a level 3, or equivalent qualification, with practical experience in a related field.

Entrants will be required to successfully complete the current Defence Train the Trainer course within 12 months of taking post and an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check will be carried out.

Desirable:

Previous Instructional experience with a recognised qualification in further education.

Knowledge of DSAT, knowledge and experience of Royal Air Force Trade Group 5 General Technician Mechanical employment.
