Overview

The Wardroom is part of the Base Spt Section that sits within the Logs Department of HMS HERON. This post is responsible for the following key areas: To assist in providing a full accounting service to the Wardroom Mess, its Members, Associate Members, and Mess Guests. To assist in the timely and accurate production of monthly Mess Bills and efficiently maintain mess accounts in accordance with current regulations and Mess policies. To process bar chits onto SAGE and carry out monthly stock adjustments for wine, catering and sundries holdings. To manage Leaving gifts for Mess Members who leave the Mess. To provide cover to the Wardroom and the WO&SR Mess Office during Absence acting as assistant mess banker, ensuring sufficient moneys are held to cover day-to-day running of the mess.ResponsibilitiesJob specific training can be completed in post. The successful candidate will possess strong MS Excel skills.
