Do you want to support the improvement of outcomes for children, young people and their families?  Would you like to provide administative support to the  Cumbria Youth Offending Service(YOS) team based in Barrow-in-Furness?

The purpose of the Children & Young People service, within People, is to safeguard and protect children at the highest level of need and improve their outcomes, along with those of young people and families.

The Role:

As a Business Support Administrator you will provide administative support to the Cumbria Youth Offending Service(YOS) Team, which is a discrete service,located within the People Directorate.  It’s work is overseen by a Management Board who provide strategic direction and co-ordinate the provision of youth justice services by Cumbria YOS and partner organisations.

You will provide efficient and effective administrative support within the team to meet operational needs and admnister processes and procedures as directed by the Business Support Team Leader, Team Manager and/or Service Manager.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and successful administrator to provide top level business support and excellent customer service to service users, partners and other agencies. 

Candidates must possess excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, as well as high level organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will present a confident, professional image to social workers, team managers and other colleagues within the Directorate.  We are looking for someone who is confident and posesses the ability to work independently in a busy, demanding environment, with excellent organisational skills and an abilty to use their own initiative.  

Possessing a keen eye for detail and an accurate approach to your work, you will posess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
