Midday Assistant Quilters Infants and Junior School

We require an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking Midday Assistant (MDA) to work during the lunch hour for 5 days per week serving dinners and carrying out playground duties

Training will be provided.

Monday - Friday term time only approx. 7 hours 12pm - 1.15pm

Exact hours will be role dependant

Salary: Scale 2 (approx £12.14 per hour)

We are an outstanding school seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Midday Assistant with a "can-do" attitude who is committed to raising standards for those they work with. You will need to have an ability to work flexibly and with enthusiasm. You will work in partnership with class teachers and the SENCO, to work to support codes of practice, school policies and procedures.

The successful candidate should have the following:

• Experience of supporting children • Strong behaviour management skills • Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times • A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves • Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills • Flexibility The ability to use their own initiative • Willing to undertake training and support individual needs

Further Information

Working weeks per year: 38 weeks

Holiday entitlement:5.5 weeks

Part time posts

The successful candidate will work during each week of term time excluding non-pupil days.

Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time.

Pay

This post is paid on Pay Scale 2.

Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.

Probation

All individuals will be required to satisfactorily complete a six-month probationary period.
