Are you keen to have a positive influence on childrens lives?

Are you a positive, friendly and professional person, who would like to join our team and make a difference to childrens learning?

We are seeking to appoint a special person who is enthusiastic, hardworking, caring and dedicated, to join us to work with children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and with speech, language and communication difficulties.

You will need to be flexible, adaptable, resourceful and patient as the role will be varied and demanding but also very rewarding.

Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills along with a commitment to work as part of a team are essential. Whilst previous experience would be an advantage, we are looking for a person who is able to build good relationships with children. You will be able to positively manage their behaviour and individual needs, helping them access learning in an infant school environment. You will offer support to children across classes as directed by the SENDCo and Year Leader, be willing to turn your hand to whatever is needed as the day unfolds as well as delivering specific support programmes to individuals. Full training will be offered as required by the successful candidate.

  • is able to work effectively with children to move their learning forward

  • is flexible, proactive and resourceful
  • has excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • is able to provide written and verbal feedback to the class teacher as required
  • understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
