An exciting opportunity has arisen for a social worker to be part of the development of an interesting role where you will have case responsibility for all children across Lancashire who are privately fostered.
You will assess and offer support and advice to the carer, parent and the child, help to advise on making the arrangement in the best interests of the child, including making sure that education and health needs are met and that there is ongoing frequent family time with family members. This role will also involve working with internal and external partners to implement learning and development around private fostering. It will allow you to support in raising the profile and develop understanding around private fostering within communities across Lancashire. The post will be managed by Lucy Riding within the Contextual Safeguarding Service.

You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required, and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
