An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Service in Lancashire. The post is a part time (22.2 hours) permanent position within the Mental Health Safeguarding Team. The main base will initially be Lancashire House, Accrington but the post holder will be expected to work across the whole county.
As part of this team you will be working with adults with mental health problems. The post holder will be required to
• Provide a professional social work service
• Lead and coordinate multi agency section 42 safeguarding enquiries Develop and review safeguarding adult protection plans.
• Ensure a collaborative and person-centred approach within this activity in line with the key principles of the Care Act and DOH Making Safeguarding Personal Agenda.
• Contribute to service delivery that is person centred and outcome focussed with an emphasis on encouraging independence and enabling recovery.
• Grade 9 applies only to AMHPs for this post.

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a prorata basis.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required, and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.
