Finance Analyst, Financial Control, Islands Finance

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference and join our Islands Finance team on a Fixed Term contract until the end of the year. Our Islands team is responsible for financial control and regulatory reporting across a number of banking platforms and business areas and your day will be varied and challenging.

This is a varied role where youll work closely with other colleagues as part of the Financial Control team, managing a portfolio of allocated tasks and assisting with ad hoc investigations and project support. Youll be utilising your analytical and operational skillset to manage and prioritise your responsibilities within the team.

KEY CAPABILITIES

  • The ability to produce work of high quality with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and prioritise effectively across different stakeholder requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Excel is essential
  • A commitment to gaining accounting qualifications is desirable

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Production and distribution of high quality daily, weekly and monthly reporting from our local banking platform covering multiple business areas
  • Be responsible for the daily reconciliation activities over a range of accounts within the Islands business, including:
    • Daily loading of file data; matching and netting activities
    • Exception reporting and escalation
    • Account maintenance
  • Ad hoc analysis and investigations
  • Project support

This role is available for applicants in both Jersey and the Isle of Man with our current team being located across both Islands. This Fixed Term Contract role is based in either the Isle of Man or Jersey, Channel Islands and cannot be carried out from another location (although working from home within the Islands is supported).Due to local employment regulations 5 years residency within Jersey is required for Jersey based applicants.
