You could be a part of this as we're currently seeking a Cyber Engineer to join our Chief Resilience & Security Office (CRSO) based in Edinburgh. This is a superb opportunity to progress your career in Cyber with Lloyds Banking Group as a Cyber Analyst and youll be contributing to the protection of the Group, our Customers and our Suppliers from security threats.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of key services within the Technical Development & Delivery function. This consists of:
  • Advanced technical development of DLP monitoring toolsets and any other relevant monitoring toolsets as required
  • Advanced Data Analysis and Modelling
  • Process Design
  • Plan and maintain own task schedule with overall priorities assigned by the management team.
  • Shape and facilitate the cyber threat management strategy by recommending specific courses of action for longer term risk reduction.
  • Provide advice and guidance around IT Cyber Security industry related best practice.
  • Actively participate and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in service and process management meetings.
  • Engage with and provide consultation at Senior Management level.
  • Develop and implement threat monitoring use cases in accordance to business requirements.
  • Produce clear and consistent technical documentation.
  • Complete tuning and revalidation tasks for existing threat monitoring rules
  • Assess and resolve issues in relation to the relevant toolsets.
  • Provide technical assessments to assure the ongoing efficiency of the detective controls to adapt to consumption of Evergreen services.
  • Provide advice and guidance on processes and procedures to team members.
  • Support Senior Manager in colleague development across the team.
  • Support the culture of continuous improvement through generating and developing new or improved ways of working.

Capabilities (essential):

  • Knowledge and experience of Data Loss and Insider Risk detection, prevention and methodology
  • Ability to develop new rules to enhance detection capabilities to mitigate the risk of Insider Threat and Data Loss
  • Experience in integrating Cyber Security toolsets.
  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security industry related best practice.
  • Knowledge and deep understanding of other technologies (e.g. Cloud, Firewalls, Proxies, IDS/IPS).
  • Experience of advanced engineering practices to provide additional value in the delivery of detective controls
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, VBA etc).
  • Understanding of cloud designs and security deployment models
  • Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources.
  • Strong quality and service focus.
  • Demonstrable systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex messages to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience of delivering complex Cyber Security projects.
