Job Description Summary

We need a versatile, enthusiastic designer who’ll play a vital role in ensuring all design work creates a cohesive Lloyds Banking Group experience. One that’s consistent for customers, while supporting colleagues.This role is in the Consumer Onboarding design team, where we focus on creating simple, personalised, end-to-end onboarding customer experiences on our mobile apps and websites across multiple brands.

We help drive the future vision of Lloyds Banking Group’s retail space, which is made up of many parts: 17 million active digital customers, 1,800 branches and 80 million phone calls yearly. We make sure all customers feel financially supported: in-branch, online or by phone.

We’re looking for a versatile, enthusiastic designer who’ll play a vital role in ensuring all our design work creates a cohesive Lloyds Banking Group experience. One that’s consistent for customers, while supporting colleagues. As Interaction Designer you’ll be responsible for all interaction design elements, from design thinking through to deployment.

As Senior Interaction Designer You’ll be part of a cross-functional project team and responsible for all interaction design elements, from design thinking through to deployment.

Here’s where you’ll make a difference:

  • You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team of designers, product owners and engineers, ensuring customer focus through everything they do.
  • You’ll inject empathy and creativity into your work to ensure all design meets high standards of clarity, compassion and inclusion. You’ll develop deep empathy for people, understanding their needs, aspirations and challenges.
  • You’ll also share knowledge and improve design methods as an active member of the Design community.

What do we need to see from applicants?

  • Proven and demonstratable background at a senior level, experience in UX design for large scale projects.
  • Advanced skills in competitor analysis, wireframing, journey mapping, prototyping, sketching.
  • Experience of supporting user research activities.
  • Proficiency with industry standard design and business tools such as Axure, InVision, Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma…
  • The ability to manage key stakeholders from digital and non-digital backgrounds

  • Understand the user goals, mindset and the context for use.
  • Understand and map out intuitive steps in processes, eg user flows.
  • Structure information delivery throughout the journey, defining page types, design goals, etc.
  • Create consistent design and interaction techniques across channels, eg component design.
  • Proactively design with the customer’s needs.
