Job Title: Sourcing Manager (Retail IT Transformation)

Location: Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh or Halifax

Salary: £57,546 - £63,490

Hours: Full time

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in office.

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in sourcing IT solutions which have a real impact on helping LBG's customers. Consumer Lending encompasses Homes, Loans, Embedded Finance, Transport and Enterprise Risk. They view our team as integral to their success in sourcing market leading technical solutions for their platforms.

We're looking for a professional with strong commercial acumen, robust knowledge of sourcing processes and effective commercial and contract negotiation skills.

We actively encourage and support personal development to enable each colleague to become a trusted adviser providing the business an end-to-end Souring service managing all aspects of spend relating to that platform across a multitude of suppliers.

What you'll do

  • Developing strong working relationships across stakeholder communities.

  • Contributing to the development of category strategies, delivering specific initiatives to drive the effective supply of IT solutions to LBG and management of the cost base.

  • Leading initiatives with clients that drive effective spend management through demand management, simplifying specifications and supplier consolidation.

  • Leading Sourcing activities across the Group and category and create market competition to generate the best possible commercial outcomes as well as bringing innovation to the business.

  • Supporting our group colleagues with their commercial needs through the delivery of great sourcing strategies to meet their technology goals

  • Maintaining and effective and up to date understanding of the technology supply market, looking after critical supplier relationships to seek early access to new and innovative product developments, allowing you to build and deliver to support the Group's technology transformation

What you'll need

  • Strong Sourcing process experience

  • Experience in developing and delivering to sourcing plans and strategies and supporting business areas on projects with varying degrees of complexity.

  • Being highly risk conscious and appreciation of all aspects of operational, commercial and contractual risks

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and influencing skills

  • Contract management experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Commercial acumen
