General Manager Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Now, we’re on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Boundaryand lead the team to success!

About the pub

The Boundary is an absolute sleeping giant nestled in the middle of a load of chimney pots in South Normanton, a small town a stones throw from the Peak District, and minutes away from all the major commuter routes, including junction 28 of the M1.

Bursting with tools waiting for a new general manager to pick up and run with including a huge bar, an excellently equipped function room, a smaller meeting room, thirteen well-appointed hotel rooms and a lovely south facing patio and children play area.

Breakfast, pizza, beers, beds and functions the Boundary has it all to offer, and we are now looking for someone who can take this pub to the next level and exploit the 120 covers that we have to offer. Currently trading at £12,000 per week, but with the potential to easily take £20,000 to £30,000 with the right focus on community engagement, hotel sales growth, and pushing functions, parties, and weddings because the main function room is furnished with its own bar and separate kitchen, you can operate this part of this awesome site without impacting the main pub.

Back of house, the main kitchen is huge and well equipped, and above there is a well-appointed 3 Bedroom flat.

By cementing themselves as the local hero in the South Normanton area, the new general manager will form links with local businesses, community groups and sports teams, and will use these links to take this jewel in our crown to the next level.
