Who You Are

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Caseworker with a strong customer focus. You should possess substantial knowledge in welfare rights, financial assessments, and processes, and be familiar with systems and procedures necessary to support a busy office. Experience in working with older people and/or individuals with disabilities is desirable, as well as a commitment to delivering consistently high standards of service. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide and varied customer base and liaise with internal and external bodies is essential. Highly organized and capable of working independently, you should be adept at managing your workload to meet deadlines and targets.

What the Job Involves

This full-time role involves a variety of tasks centered around the Disabled Facilities Grants. You will carry out financial assessments of clients and manage the entire process from the initial enquiry to the completion of works. You will be required to visit clients, gather necessary financial information, provide advice and support, and prepare applications for charitable funding. Additionally, you will assist in the administration of grants and loans, ensuring that all procedures and timeframes are adhered to. The role requires agile working with occasional office attendance at Magdalen House, Bootle, Merseyside. The position is up to 12 months with a working pattern from Monday to Friday.
