Who You Are
- Qualified Social Worker (e.g. Degree, DipSW or equivalent)
- Registered with HCPC and evidence of continual professional development
- Experienced in multi-agency teamwork and leading
- Possess sound assessment and interviewing skills
- Experienced in working with vulnerable individuals and families
- Proficient in IT (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and excellent customer service
- Willing to work flexibly, including unsocial hours and weekends
What the job involves
- Carrying a caseload and performing community care and safeguarding assessments
- Ensuring compliance with legal, organizational, and multi-agency requirements
- Providing expert opinion within the organization and to external agencies
- Supporting individuals, families, and communities to access universal services
- Recording and analyzing information accurately following organizational policies
- Undertaking statutory duties related to safeguarding concerns
- Working across organizational boundaries and contributing to multi-agency teams
- Providing advice, support, and training to carers, prospective adopters, and colleagues
- Maintaining and updating case notes and records; preparing statements for court
- Offering financial advice and undertaking financial support assessments when necessary
- Developing expertise in a specialist field and contributing to policy development
- Supervising unqualified staff, mentors, volunteers, and newly qualified social workers
- Supporting the delivery of health and social care functions for adults/carers
