We are looking for a highly motivated relief Support workers with person-centred values who can support people with various needs a learning disability for our service in Beccles and surrounding areas. The candidate would be preferable to have a driving license and car, as they would need to travel to various places where people live in the community

So, what will I be doing?

As a Relief Support Worker, you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of care that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, independent and happy life.

This will include:

  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • Administering medication, supporting with finances, helping with housework, organizing appointments, and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Shopping
  • Supporting in the community
  • Activities in the home.
  • Laundry and Ironing
  • Housework

We have a service in Beccles, and we also support people in the community various ages physical needs and Learning Disabilities.

No two days will be the same and having a passion for caring is a must. It is important that you can find creative ways to engage with the people you will be supporting to help remove barriers and empower the individuals to learn new skills.

Everyone has their own personality, hobbies, and interests that they enjoy.

It is essentialthat you are calm and approachable but possess the ability to be assertive when the situation requires. We are looking for people that are flexible and are drivers to be able to work across services.

Working hours

Flexibility is a must for this role as you will need to be available weekdays, evenings, bank holidays, sleep-ins

As a Relief Support worker Shift times can vary from a 7am start through to a 10pm finish. Wake nights start at 9pm and finish at 7am. Sleep in may start at 3-22 and finish at 9am
