About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Commercial Underwriter in our Mid Corporate & Estates team. You'll be responsible assisting with preparation work on renewals for a variety of business classes, including our Motor Trade, Farm, Estates, and Commercial Select products. We believe that commercial business presents our biggest growth opportunity over the longer term, and this is an opportunity to be an integral part of that growth.
Here at NFU mutual, we operate with a unique model of a tied agency network. Our NFU Mutual agencies are the vital day-to-day link with our customers and, as an Assistant Underwriter, you'll build strong relationships with the UW teams and where required work collaboratively with our Agents, we are looking for a highly motivated person who would like to work as part of a team but also be comfortable to work on activities solo.
We provide a comprehensive induction to the role and to make sure you get the most out of this, you will need to be able to commit to being in the office at points during the initial training period, and once up and running we will be able to be more flexible and support the 80/20 working style. Following your induction, you will receive ongoing training which will support your career progression and personal growth.
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with shifts between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
