Job Description
Reporting directly to the Admin Manager/Supervisor First point of contact within the admin team for the clinical team Be the front line contact for the School Health Service. Communicate professionally and effectively with all service users (children, young people, parents / carers), the general public and all internal and external agencies both verbally and non-verbally in a timely manner Liaise with colleagues at all levels both within the team and across other agencies and organisations. Use own initiative when prioritising voice mail messages, ensuring that all are responded to in a timely manner Transfer relevant information to all health and social care providers as requested Provide accurate, up to date information directly to Senior Leaders Attend and contribute in meetings and huddles Adapt communication skills to deal with pupils/ parents / carers who may have hearing, visual or language/cultural barriers and cognitive disabilities Maybe exposed to verbal aggression over the phone, and often communicate with people angry or upset in a sensitive situation which will be dealt with appropriately and professionally using listening skills and ensuring that our comments are perceived in a professional and accurate way Liaising with Child Health Department to ensure all information obtained is relayed complete and accurate.
