Overview

Advanced Practitioner Ultrasonographer

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) are seeking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner Ultrasonographer. In the first instance this is for a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role will support increased demand for antenatal growth scans through implementation of ‘Saving Babies Lives v2’ and for increases in general obstetric scans requests associated to this.

We are flexible in our requirement and would consider applicants who have mixed obstetric and general ultrasound experience or are purely obstetric trained. If the successful candidate has general ultrasound experience, they will be expected to be able to work independently, carrying out a wide range of examination types and issuing clinical reports.

The successful candidate will be working with a small, highly skilled and friendly team. They will be able to manage their own lists and support the service users through the examinations. The TSDFT APU team are committed to supporting training for all clinical staff groups, and it is expected that the candidate will be part of this.

We anticipate that applicants will have current practical experience of NHS Obstetric Ultrasound services and that they can be in post for April 2021.

If you are interested in this role and feel you have the skills to compliment the Ultrasound service and team in TSDFT we would welcome your application. If you have any queries please contact Emma Smith, Superintendent Ultrasonographer at [email protected], or Tim Simpson, Radiology Manager on 01803 655618 or at [email protected]
