Are you passionate about providing excellent nursing care and looking to move into an exciting new and rewarding role? If the answer is yes, you would be well suited to the Band 3 Healthcare Assistant position here at Wellington Barracks.

As the successful candidate you will be providing assistance and support to the registered nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide and maintain a high standard of care to all patients. You will assist the registered nurses when conducting invasive and non-invasive nursing procedures on patients. You will also be expected to assist medical and nursing staff during emergency procedures. Administrative role includes ad-hoc provision of a professional front-of-house receptionist service to patients and visitors and comprehensive clinical administrative support service to the clinical staff of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

In addition, your appointment entitles you to the NHS London Inner London “High Cost Area” supplement which will be paid as a proportion of basic pay (including the value of any long term recruitment and retention premium) subject to a minimum and maximum level of extra pay.

Please note this is a full-time only position of 37.5 hours per week to provide continuity of support.

Essential Criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent proven experience

Travel to interview costs will not be reimbursed.

 

Further Information

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel,but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

Please be aware that if you are found successful you will be asked to provide evidence of your immunity to Hepatitis B.
