HMP Bristol is a local category B prison that provides custody for men from Bristol and the surrounding area.

If you are a resilient, compassionate and recovery focused support worker, who has a good understanding of substance misuse, and has the ability to work flexibly in a challenging environment, this may be the role for you.

Working as part of the substance misuse pyschosocial team you will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multi-disciplinary team, that is supportive and motivatived to deliver outstanding care. We strive to use the expertise and resources within our team, organisation, and partnerships, to deliver high quality services that are safe and focused on people’s recovery. All our staff are pivotal in the quality of care we provide and we are committed to enabling them to develop both professional and personally.

Successful candidates will have previously completed, or be commited to completing, the care certificate, or equivalent qualification.

Applicants will be required to work 30 hours a week, primarily Monday to Friday, with the additions of some Saturday shifts.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain prison security clearance in addition to DBS and reference checks.
