If so, NHS Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (Somerset CCG) is looking to recruit a Band 5 Projects Assistant Officer for the Quality and Nursing directorate and we would love to hear from you!

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual who has the drive to make a real difference by providing a high level administrative and project support to the Quality and Nursing directorate.

As the Quality and Nursing Project Assistant Officer, you will provide high quality programme and project management support for the wider team. In addition, you will also have overall responsibility for the provision of comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative services to the Deputy Director of Quality and Nursing, which will include comprehensive email correspondence, diary and document management, arranging and servicing of meetings, managing contacts and taking comprehensive minutes at meetings as required.

You will have the ability to organise and prioritise work along with an understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality.

You will have excellent administrative skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines. You will also communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of the health and social care environment and it would be advantageous to have previous experience of working in a projects support environment and be used to a busy office / administrative area.

The ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently is pivotal to the success of this post.

You will be able to demonstrate the attributes and capabilities required for the post as outlined in the job description and person specification.

You will have excellent organisational skills and a sound, working knowledge of MS office packages such as Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Excel etc. alongside excellent communication skills both written, face-to-face, virtually via video calls and over the telephone.

This post is based at NHS Somerset CCG HQ – Wynford House, Lufton Way, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 8HR. However, given the current Covid-19 pandemic, all Somerset CCG staff are currently working from home where possible, until spring 2021.

Elements of the role may also require you to travel to other locations across the county of Somerset to meet the needs of the service.

This is a permanent, part time post of 32.5 hours per week.
