This is an exciting opportunity for to join our chaplaincy team and play a part in our growing story. You will join a cutting edge team whose foundations are set in the core principals of Chaplaincy, caring for and supporting patients, their families and carers, and staff across our whole service. This includes working in acute, mental health, hospice and community contexts.

The Chaplaincy team at UHCW are at the fore of innovation and lead projects which include social prescribing, community clinics for COPD patients using an Asset Based Community Development model. Our ‘Compassionate Communities’ service supports patients and their families through, times of difficulty, long term illness, at end of life care and in bereavement across Coventry & Warwickshire.

The team currently consists of 11.5 WTE chaplains, a team of Community Development Workers and numerous Honorary Chaplains from a variety of different denominations, faiths and belief groups. We also work in partnership with a variety of groups from within the NHS and Voluntary Sector.

We are looking for a person who has significant pastoral ministry experience who is able to work in varied contexts within acute, mental health and community settings.
