Main duties of the job
As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavorsome, and well-balanced menus while working closely with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences. You will help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, and create a warm, efficient, and fun environment for the team. This role requires experience in working with fresh, seasonal food, a good understanding of nutrition, and the ability to work within a budget and manage stock control.

Qualifications
Essential
- You should hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, have experience in helping lead and inspire a team, and a good understanding of HACCP. A personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents, is also essential.
