Overview

Wirral Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is a therapy based service which offers support to children and young people with mild to severe mental health difficulties and their families and carers. We work in close alignment with the Local Authority, Education and the Voluntary Sector. Our aim is to ensure that children receive the right support, from the right service at the right time.

Due to the current national focus on children’s services and subsequent investment an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health worker to be part of the development of CAMHS service in Wirral in response to this challenge.

The successful candidate will support the triage process, promoting positive mental health within the children’s workforce. Using specialist knowledge, and alongside the Senior Practitioners, you will be responsible for determining when intervention from CAMHS is clinically indicated.

We would welcome applicants from Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social work, with clinically relevant knowledge acquired through post qualifying training and/or experience.

This is a fixed term post for 6 months.
