Job Description

The Cardiothoracic Directorate at the John Radcliffe Hospital is one of the major providers of care within the South East Region. We are an extremely busy, friendly and currently expanding department.

We are looking for 1 full time (37.5hrs a week) Clinic Preparation Supervisor to join this dynamic team, supporting Patients and Clinicians across the Directorate.

This is an exciting new role within the Oxford Heart Centre. This role will involve coordinating clinic preparation tasks within a small team and to be responsible for the smooth running of clinics with all medical records prepared for clinics in a timely manner. The role will be involved in the day to day tasks within the Clinic Prep office and will be the primary contact for all Clinical staff with regards to any clinical prep queries.

This role will also deputise for the Cardiology Administration Manager which involves taking part in the annual appraisals of staff,1;1s, team meetings and maintaining clinic cash up and the Outpatient PTL.

This post will lead on the implementation of the Directorates Go Digital objectives for outpatients, namely historical notes scanning and electronic patient notes.

Applicants will be customer focused, flexible, motivated and pro-active with the ability to support the immediate team and wider directorate. This post will be both very challenging, interesting and attention to detail is required.

Personal and team development is encouraged and supported and the post holders will be motivated, reliable and flexible. NHS experience is desired, but not essential as full training will be given.

This position reports to the Cardiology Administration Manager.
