Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a strong multi-disciplinary environment within a specialist centre for services for children with disabilities and / or SEND, in a vibrant part of East London.

 

The paediatric physiotherapy service is well established and provides innovative and functional support to children and their families from birth to 19 years. As well as a strong community-based service, working in special schools, children’s homes and in Short Breaks for example, the team work in the neo-natal unit and provide specialist clinics: an orthotics clinic in the Ark and visual gait assessments.

 

The team are managed by a service lead across both Physiotherapy and Paediatric Occupational Therapy teams; close links exist with the team of Community Paediatricians and Speech and Language Therapy as well as community nursing and CAMHS disability services.

 

The successful post holder will have experience of working in the community with children with disabilities to at least B7 level. Strong communication, clinical and influencing skills, ability to work as part of a team are essential skills.

 

The working hours for this role are 30 per week.
