Overview

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for the position of Critical Systems Manager.

The post holder will be someone with detailed knowledge of either IT or Operations Centres and some experience in the other. They will look after a team of Critical Systems Analysts and ensure the delivery of key non-clinical IT projects as well as day-to-day activities including service desk requests and incidents.

The nature of the role means the post holder will be exposed to a large number of critical systems from working in the data-centres to working alongside users. The expectations of the role are varied.

Main duties of the role:

  • Management and delivery of project work (typically implementation of system changes, or new systems)
  • Management of Critical Systems Analysts
  • Day to day issue resolution and investigation, acting as an escalation point
  • Service desk management
  • Representing the Critical Systems and IT teams in meetings
