Overview

Following promotion of the current postholder into an Executive position, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Princess Alexandra Hospital as Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Urgent and Emergency Care. This is an exciting and wide-ranging role, requiring an inspirational leader who can work closely with clinical and corporate colleagues to ensure we continue to meet our commissioner and regulatory requirements and to support our plans towards an ICP/ICS.

As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. We can offer a flexible working arrangement that offers a work life balance to the successful candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career towards a Board level role, as you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and wider Executive Team.

Your ability to demonstrate how you have created and developed relationships with strategic partners is essential, alongside demonstration of exceptional leadership skills which highlight how you have driven forward improvements within complex environments which are aligned to a longer term vision and strategy.

This a complex and demanding role and requires tact, diplomacy and resilience, but if successful will be very rewarding. Staff management experience within the health sector, including managing change, innovation and demonstrable communication skills at high level are all key to making this exciting and challenging post a success.
