Deputy Ward Manager in the North Wales Vascular Network

Do you want to be a part of a brand new exciting development to improve the health of the population we serve? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Deputy Ward Manager with a specialist interest in vascular care to join Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s North Wales Vascular Network.

The tertiary unit for major arterial surgery will be located at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire. As an integral part of this development we are investing in a dedicated vascular ward and installing a state of the art Hybrid Theatre (to include Interventional Radiology facilities). The Health Board has invested in a team of consultant surgeons, interventional radiologists, middle grade doctors, two new IR suites and a dedicated vascular ward.

The North Wales Vascular Network provides services to a population of approximately 700,000 residents. After the establishment of the hub, spoke services will be provided at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

In conjunction with our hard-working, highly motivated team of vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, advanced nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist, the successful appointees will provide a high quality, modern service in a rapidly developing unit. The posts will be based at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a fully integrated range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services across North Wales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
