Hywel Dda University Health Board Early Intervention Psychosis team is looking for band 6 qualified RMN, SW, OT to become an EIP Practitioner. We are looking for a practitioner to act as care co-ordinator, assertively managing a caseload within EIP services. Hywel Dda UHB constitutes the three counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire in South West Wales.

The EIP team works with individuals identified with First Episode Psychosis and meeting the criteria for EIP services as result of diagnosis of psychotic symptoms or deemed as ARMS (At Risk Mental State) within our service we currently provide support to 14-25 year olds, with plans to be developed to extend our age group to 35 and ultimately 65 yrs. Our client group will therefore be recognised as those experiencing First Episode of Psychosis within these extended age ranges.

We are looking for qualified staff able to offer care management under the principles of the Mental health measure and therefore responsible for writing and planning care and treatment plans, undertaking regular review of client needs, working within wider MDT settings, medication support and monitoring. We are looking for self-directed individuals with experience of working within community mental health settings, able to work independently but also as part of team supporting colleagues, clients and their families throughout the health board Area. As an EIP practitioner you will also take on the development and supervision of junior staff and students coming into mental health services.

Mental health services are developing throughout Hywel Dda UHB and EIP services are at the forefront of many of the planned developments of the transforming mental health programme.

Hywel Dda UHB is committed to developing staff practice and as such is able to provide opportunities for CPD development and access to specific training in relation to developing skills in CBT and behavioural Family intervention.

This post is a part time position of 15 hours per week and will be covering the Carmarthen area.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and /or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
