Junior Sister/Charge Nurse
Could you be a part of our A&E team? Croydon runs one of the busiest ED/UTC department in London, seeing 130,000 patients each year. Now is an exciting time to join our team. We have moved to our brand new ED and UTC since December 2018. The new 21.25m state-of-the-art Centre has been designed as a bigger and better emergency care facility with a dedicated Paediatric Department and Paeds UTC, for thousands of people living in Croydon- one of London’s largest borough.
Croydon staff will receive on-going support and development in their role, including hands on guidance from three dedicated practice development practitioners (2 Adults& 1 Paeds) and access to a wide-range of in-house and external courses. Training at the Trust also supports nursing revalidation, helping nurses to build their portfolio of CPD evidence and competency documents.
We are now recruiting for Band 6 Junior Sister in of the most busiest A&E Departments.
To join our friendly and dynamic team you will need to be an enthusiastic, energetic, proactive senior nurse with experience working in ED, committed to your professional development and that of others. We are looking for candidates with demonstrable post-registration experience to include ED extended skills such as Triage, wound closure &wound care, POP, ambulance streaming, IRMER trained, TRIPPS experience, coordinating rapid assessment and triage to bring their skills to our team.
Having the qualifications mentioned in the JD and ability to look after patients with acute presentation would be particularly advantageous.
The selection / interview process will be an all-day event. Please ensure you bring your copy of competency book level 1 if successful for interview.
