We are excited to offer an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated Band 4 to join our expanding Emergency Department (ED) admin team in a leadership role which primarily focuses on development and management of medical staffing rotas.

The role will entail working within a vibrant and dynamic admin team, supporting the senior ED team to maintain smooth running of the ED at Salisbury Hospital.

The applicant will manage the day to day running of the medical rotas in ED, designing rota patterns to comply with changing staff contracts, working with external agencies and internal staff to meeting day to day requirements for safe levels of staffing in the emergency department. The role will also include line management of a small group of staff whilst supporting the ED Senior Leadership Team with high level administrative tasks to support the provision of safe patient care.

The successful applicant will be a proactive and motivated individual with an eye for detail and an enquiring mind; be a competent and confident computer user; manage a varied and demanding workload, working to meet deadlines; use initiative to highlight and resolve problems and work well within a team.

Whilst we serve a mostly rural population we are also a designated trauma unit and have a track record in handling major incidents successfully which offers a varied and challenging workload. The number of ED attendances is steadily increasing therefore we are pleased to be able to expand our management team to support.
