Emergency Nurse Practitioner

Band 6

£32,306-£39,027 p.a. pro rata

Ref: 798-2034A

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our existing team in Minor Injuries at The Princess of Wales Community Hospital. This busy nurse led department sees around 13,500 patients per year, presenting with a wide variety of injuries and is open daily throughout the year. Opening hours are 8am-8pm weekdays and 12-8 weekends and Bank Holidays.

An Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification is essential to the role alongside evidence of relevant and current clinical experience as the role requires you to assess patients, plan their care, administer treatment and discharge or refer as appropriate to other healthcare professionals /external agencies. Other abilities include x-ray interpretation and the ability to prioritise patient care.

As the department supports on-going training a willingness and ability to supervise and teach junior staff and students is essential and a recognised teaching qualification is also required. In return we will actively support your education and on-going development.

If you are enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care and can work autonomously, within the sphere of your competency and in line with the guidelines and policies of the Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust, then this job is for you.
