Job Description

Are you a caring and compassionate Healthcare Assistant? Would you like the opportunity to develop your skills in a Haematology and Oncology setting? If you have an NVQ level 2 qualification and a good level of care experience within the NHS, then we would welcome your application for this exciting role. We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate compassionate care and a drive to develop themselves and the service they work in.

You could be a key part of our multi-disciplinary healthcare team, providing individualised care for patients on a busy day case oncology and haematology unit. You would be expected to have excellent communication skills, be a team player and provide high standards of care to patients under the supervision of a qualified nurse/practitioner. Your role would include taking observations, phlebotomy and cannulation skills, supporting clinicians in outpatient clinics and caring for patients with a cancer diagnosis. Basic IT skills are preferable.
