Healthcare Assistant | Breast Care Services | Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham | Part time 20 Hours per week

Spire Little Aston Hospital is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to assist the clinical nurse specialist team, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of a patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment within the breast care team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine tasks related to individual’s health and wellbeing.
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs
  • Establish and maintain communication with people relating to a breast cancer diagnosis.
  • To maintain standards of infection control within the hospital and own department and to assist patients to maintain their own infection control needs
  • Supporting in a busy, fast paced clinic
  • Taking receipt of results and sensitive information
  • Co-ordinating the patient pathway with booking patients appointments
  • Maintaining Departmental Database

Who we're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare
  • Previous experience as a healthcare assistant in a clinic or hospital environment
  • Confident and empathetic manner A natural people person
  • Essential computer skills as part of the role is clerical
