Job Description

To work as a member of the Hepatology Administrative team to provide daily assistance, giving confidential administrative support. To assist with all administration duties relating to the safe, effective, and responsive day-to-day running of the service. To assist in maintaining required levels of access at all times, for patients and referrers of the specialist service. Provide a high standard of administration support to the service by typing correspondence and reports, organising meetings, maintaining diaries and managing a comprehensive filing system. Organise and manage own workload and act independently within appropriate guidelines. To provide a polite and efficient service to visitors if required. Able to negotiate with patients whose first language is not English; preparing new patient medical notes; making patient appointments; entering data onto Excel spreadsheets and databases.
