Highly Specialist Physiotherapist: Band 7, Domiciliary Therapies, Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) – Merton
We are looking for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary integrated rehabilitation therapy team in Merton, providing the highest standard of care in the community to enable clients to remain in their own homes. You will be responsible for setting high standards of practice in the physiotherapy team, and be a flexible and adaptable team player. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and engage both professional staff and clients.
The applicant will need to be a team player with a positive attitude and commitment to providing high quality rehabilitation in the community.
Key responsibilities of the role:
• To undertake specialist Physiotherapy assessments of patients in the community as an autonomous practitioner.
• To be responsible for a clinical caseload working within multi-disciplinary teams, sharing care appropriately, ensuring clients and carers receive optimum level of therapy and holistic care within available resources. The clinical caseload will comprise of adult patients with physical and cognitive difficulties within the community.
• To offer supervision and training to rehabilitation support workers; as well as students, should they attend placements within our service; and to partake in continual professional development by attending and presenting at training sessions across the multi-disciplinary team.
There is a strong focus on personal and service development and you will be given opportunities to participate in in-service training programmes and external training where appropriate. We have highly experienced clinicians within the team who are keen to support your ongoing personal and professional development. You will benefit from close links with other CLCH Merton community teams, acute hospital teams as well as colleagues in social care. Travel is an integral part of the post so applicants should have a current driving license and access to a vehicle. Insurance for work purposes is also required.
Successful post holders must be able to work 37.5 hours across 7 days per week and at different locations across Merton. The service operates between 8am and 4pm
