Job Description

The department is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised individual to join the laboratory team as an information technology support officer.

The main role of the post holder is to provide support to the laboratory sections in the testing of Information technology (IT) solutions employed by the department.

The testing would include:

  • Testing all current tests/sets end to end this is from request to instrument to each reporting system
  • Testing IT changes as they occur
  • Liaise with DCHW for any potential changes we may not be aware may affect our reporting

This testing includes the current test sets and all future changes. Although this role will be undertaken under the direction of laboratory based staff there is a need for the post holder to work autonomously and methodically through the testing schedules.

The department actively encourages participation in CPD to develop skills that will assist you in the pursuit of your career ambitions and generally is willing to support appropriate study arrangements/leave.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; WElsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
