Salary: Band 5 24,907 – 30,615 gross per annum plus any unsocial hours enhancements relevant to the post as per the NHS Terms & Conditions 2018

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Base: Brierley Hill, DY5 1LQ (Regional travel may be required)

West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Management Accountants who will assist the Senior Finance Manager in…

  1. The provision of a professional and comprehensive financial management accounting service to Budget Managers across a specific range of FT services
  2. The preparation of timely and accurate management accounting reports and year-end forecasts for presentation to and discussion with Budget Managers.
  3. The provision of information and advice to ensure that Budget Managers are supported in achieving financial targets.
  4. Contribute support, as required, to the Financial Accounting process of the FT
  5. Assist with maintaining the coding structure of the FT’s Finance System


Applicants must have a degree or an equivalent relevant qualification and must be currently actively working towards a recognised CCAB qualification along with having Management Accounts experience.

Travel will be required across the Trusts locations which may include our NARU (National Ambulance Resilience Unit) sites in Winterbourne Gunner & Ryton.

Where a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required for the post, applicants are required to cover the cost of the check. The cost (45 for an enhanced check or 28 for a standard/basic check) is payable to our online provider at the time that the DBS application is submitted.
