An opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual to a part time Medical Secretary position to support a Consultant Psychiatrist and team at the Adult West sector CMHT, at Acomb Garth, York.
The successful candidate will be required to provide full medical secretarial and personal administrative duties to our Consultant Psychiatrist as well as providing support to their medical team to support and maintain standard systems and processes set out by the trust. They will also co-ordinate and provide supervision to the team administrative service. The successful candidate will need to have excellent IT and organisational skills and have a good knowledge and understanding of information systems. The ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure to meet deadlines and demonstrate a flexible, motivated attitude to work will also be essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels are required.
The post holder will have contact with service users and members of the public and have an important role in helping the service to run efficiently
Previous significant Medical Secretarial/Clinical Secretarial/Personal Assistant experience along with a recognised word processing qualification is essential. A minute taking qualification or experience would be desirable. It is expected that applicants can evidence a good standard of general education and sound IT knowledge and experience, with competency in all Microsoft Office Applications being essential.
Applicants should hold a Level 4 Diploma/NVQ in Business Administration; applications from applicants with an NVQ Level 3/Diploma in Business Administration will be considered, but you will be expected to complete Level 4 qualification.
