Mental Health Services have recently been successful in securing additional funding to deliver Hospital Liaison Services in line with national guidance and we are now looking for an experienced practitioner to join our team

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Professional to join a growing multi-disciplinary team engaged in developing and supporting a strong working relationship between Central and North West London Trust and Milton Keynes Hospital Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for facilitating the most appropriate treatment pathway for patients currently in a hospital ward or A & E who are believed to be suffering from a mental illness.

The post holder will provide advice and support on the management of patient pathways as well as liaison with other key stakeholders. The post holder will ensure timely engagement of mental health services, advise on discharge and support transition to secondary mental health services where appropriate.

The post requires an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic and who has exceptional risk assessment and decision making skills with an active interest in discharge and pathway planning.

The post holder must have a good understanding of the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act as applied to people in hospital and demonstrate a good understanding of local statutory and non-statutory services for adults.

You will need to have substantive post registration experience as an RMN and be able to evidence autonomous working.
