Overview

We are seeking a Patient Advice and Liaison Service Responder to join our team. The PALS Responder must have a compassionate attitude, relevant skills and experience to deliver a patient-centred service. The PALS team provides an accessible and responsive service by offering on the spot advice, support and resolution for patients, relatives and members of the public.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for a caseload of PALS concerns of varying complexity. As well as working with patients and the public, you will be liaising with clinical teams to help resolve concerns promptly and effectively, and supporting organisational learning from all sources of patient feedback.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and energetic individual who has the right values to join our team. This individual must be enthusiastic, motivated, with sensitivity and tact, someone who is able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage conflict, mediate between parties to resolve problems and work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Experience of general administration duties and a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Packages are required.

This role is part time with working hours on Monday and Tuesday, 9.00-5.00pm and Wednesday, 9.00-1.00pm, 19 hours per week. These hours are not negotiable as this is a job share.
