Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our Histology Office Team as a Pathology Support worker at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to perform a range of routine tasks within Pathology. Provide clerical and relevant support to the Histology Office, Laboratory and Pathologists. The role involves slide filing and transportation, sorting and data entry of samples.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications

Desirable

  • NVQ in customer related/ administration

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions, processes and instructions
  • Basic keyboard skills
  • Understanding of confidentiality within the organisation
  • Ability to realise when it is necessary to liaise with supervisors
