Job Description

The role of a Peer Support Worker (PSW) has been developed specifically for individuals who have lived experience of mental distress and have accessed mental health services.

For this role we would require an individual to have a lived experience of the military culture as well as accessing mental health services. You would not need to have served in the British Armed Forces directly, but we would expect you to understand the culture and be closely connected to the community in some way (partner of someone who has served, worked in civil service)

The role is within the High Intensity Service (HIS) but we work closely with Transition, intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) and if appropriate we would ask you to work with Veterans within both services to offer them emotional support.

The role is full time but there could be the option for 2 part time positions if more appropriate.
