About the Role

We are looking to welcome a Physician Associate into the South Uttlesford Primary Care Network, from January 2022. Job Summary:

  • Physician Associates will provide care for patients, at the individual surgeries within the Primary Care Network, taking histories and providing clinical assessments.
  • They will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of primary health care.
  • Physician Associates will provide a holistic and clinical service, with support from GP’s as required, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols as appropriate.
  • Physician Associates will be appointed a GP supervisor within the Primary Care Network.

It is envisaged that the role will be a developmental role, as new role for the primary care network, and initially will help support the practices with structured care around patients with long term conditions and multi-morbidity including frailty.

About the Candidate

If you are a Physician Associate looking for a new and exciting career, in general practice, then we would love to hear from you. Essential:

  • Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Physician Associate from an accredited UK University
  • Bachelor Degree in Life Science / Biomedical / Nursing or Allied Health Science
  • Member of Faculty of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)
  • Valid national certification and recertification every six years stipulated by PAMVR

About Us

The post holder will be employed by Uttlesford Health Ltd and work across South Uttlesford Primary Care Network. Travel will be required between our five practices:

  • Angel Lane Surgery, Great Dunmow
  • Eden Surgeries, Hatfield Heath
  • Elsenham Surgery, Elsenham
  • John Tasker House Surgery, Great Dunmow
  • Stansted Surgery, Stansted Mountfitchet
