Job Description

We are a community based team, working with children and young people 0-19 years, with a range of physical and developmental conditions, complex needs and functional difficulties. We work in a variety of settings, including purpose-built health centres, mainstream and SEN schools and nurseries, and children’s homes.

This post will be based at Woodview Child Development Centre and will be mainly clinic based covering Halton and Cheshire West Boroughs.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic HPCP registered Physiotherapist with excellent communication skills, a keen interest and experience in paediatrics and a willingness to develop skills in this specialist area. You will need to be a team player and work collaboratively with a supportive and integrated therapy team. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply theory to practice in relation to current evidence.

You will be provided with support to develop paediatric physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills, and receive regular support and supervision. You will be required to participate in ongoing service development and progression, and contribute to training to the wider health and education MDT. Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working is a major part of the job and allows the team to provide person centred, safe and joined up care. We contribute fully to the SEND agenda and enjoy good relationships with our local authority colleagues, wider MDT and local parent groups.

If you are looking for the opportunity to further develop your paediatric physiotherapy skills with opportunities for continued professional development and access to formal appraisal systems then we would like to hear from you. This is a chance to be a part of caring children’s services and to contribute to improving the lives of children and their families.
