You will clinically assess acutely unwell patients in HUC’s out of hour’s base atHinchingbrookeHospital.
As part of the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) team, with GP colleagues and Pharmacists you will form part of a wider Clinical workforce team, assessing, receiving patients as they present with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, offering treatment, advice or referral as appropriate.
This role offers a combination of face to face consultations at the base, home visits and telephone triage. Referrals are from NHS111 and you will be confident in telephone consultations. Patient groups include infants, elderly care and end of life.
Working as part of a 24/7 multi disciplinary team, hours include evenings and weekends. Contracted hours and bank opportunities are available, to include the Clinical Advisory Service.
We are looking for Clinicians to support HUC’s delivery of outstanding patient care.
You must be a Registered General Nurse and have:
- Minor Illness and Prescribing qualifications
- Experience of working in an urgent/unscheduled care setting
- Confident in making decisions autonomously is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of SystmOne is an advantage
- Driving Licence

Current Pay Rates:
Hourly rates of pay are dependent on times and days worked:
- Weekday evenings until 11pm – 30.00
- Weekend Day and Evening – 32.10
- Weekday evenings until 11pm – 42.50
- Weekend Day and Evening – 45.50

If successful, you will be paid to complete a full day’s induction, which will include system training, followed by a number of buddy shifts to prepare you for the role.
